
In 1993, brothers Mark and Dan Stragapede had a vision to create an
casual fine dining experience dedicated to excellence on Long Beach
Island. Their creation became known as La Spiaggia, which translates
to "the beach" in Italian.
A Mediterranean style ristorante, it is located at the base of
the
Causeway in Ship Bottom. The cuisine presented by Chef Daniel is
imaginatively presented and the dining room is artfully adorned with
elegant, decorative touches.
In past years, La Spiaggia has received a "Best Undiscovered Restaurant"
award from NJ Monthly Magazine and the prestigious
DiRoNA Award.
